Drawing on her over 20 years working in Special education and having her own lived experience as an individual who is visually impaired, Lorna-Mae brings a unique understanding and unwavering commitment to the mission of the SILC. She leads the council in its crucial work of developing and implementing the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL), ensuring that the voices and needs of individuals with disabilities are central to all efforts.
